Dave McClure - Startup Investor and Advisor Founders Fund
Dave McClure has been working in Silicon Valley for over twenty years as a software developer, entrepreneur, startup advisor, angel investor, blogger, and internet marketing specialist. Dave's passion is helping startups with marketing, product strategy, and startup metrics. He is also an advisor and investor in over 30 companies.
Dave is the co-founder of both Startup2Startup and Finance4Founders, monthly dinner meetings for Silicon Valley startup entrepreneurs & investors. He also leads a travel group called GeeksOnaPlane which enables cultural exchange and education for tech entrepreneurs around the world. Dave has been a conference organizer for many tech and startup events and is also a guest lecturer on social network platforms & applications at Stanford University.
From 2001 to 2004, Dave worked at PayPal as Director of Marketing. Prior to PayPal, Dave was a database consultant & programmer for several companies, including Microsoft and Intel. In 1994 he founded Aslan Computing, an internet & e-commerce consulting group later acquired by Servinet / Panurgy in 1998.
Ginny Fang - Director, ChinaSF - San Francisco Office
ChinaSF is a government initiative of the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), in close partnership with the City of San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), supported by funding from private sector partners. Its goal is to increase business exchange between China and San Francisco.
Having worked for San Francisco communities for over a decade, Ginny is adept in working with different sectors of the community towards achieving public policy goals. These sectors include business, government entities, elected officials, advocacy groups, non-profits, grass roots organizations, and community residents.
Previously, she worked at Community Focus, a nonprofit consulting firm, which advised government entities on policy implementation via key stakeholder groups. She oversaw projects in multiple policy arenas including City budgeting, air quality, environmental justice, community leadership, and community development.
